we saw the store sign as we drove by and decided to try it out. Found good prices for 1/2 pound Ono fish and a 1/2 pound ahi tuna fish; so far, the Ono fish was delicious. Good quality potatoes, fresh broccoli. Customer service: very good. Parking: easy Tip: take the scenic drive south from Kailua-Kona to Captain Cook area.

the best seafood snack food for day trips and hikes on the island! that ahi! it's invaded my dreams! i will stop here first on my next trip to kona because i doubt i'll be able to manage a full day on the big island without some of this. choice mart had lots of things you'd need or want and is conveniently located right on the highway in captain cook.
We came several times during our week stay. Excellent prices compared to Kona proper. Picked up beautiful and affordable leis for my parents. Friendly staff, quick check out.
I'm always grateful for this store as there is not much else southward on the island. On a holiday weekend unlike all the big stores in Kona it was still well stocked and had everything I needed. Vegetables are top notch and we love the beef here too. Wait times at cashier lines are always reasonable and expeditious. There is a decent selection of adult beverages off to the left corner .
Honestly, love choice mart! Absolute a go to for any grocery needs, etc. especially for us residents in cap cook. Ono fish selection is always "choice" lol for real it's fresh and their poke is bomb/decently priced. Store is always clean, produce section is great, good choices of health foods, organic, gluten free, vegetarian, alternatives. Staff is awesome! Everyone working knows where things are, has great suggestions, especially in the deli seafood/meat section, they're all super helpful and friendly. Ample amount of parking, Ace is right next door for garden/home stuff and Choicemart is open 7 days a week and usually til 10pm.. i think? Definitely my go to daily grocery store, thanks guys!:)
